I have been carving wood for over 50 years, the medium I like best is oak with various fruitwoods second.

Steward's staff made for Eastbury Manor

The head of the staff was carved from cherry wood surmounting an ash staff.
The head was gilded with dutch leaf.

Memorial Tablet for Essex University

The lady commemorated by the tablet loved fresias and Art Deco.
The piece was designed and carved accordingly.
